Day 1: Arrival
At 9:40 a.m. scheduled flight with Lufthansa from BER via Frankfurt to Venice, arriving at Marco Polo Airport at 1:00 p.m.

Private boat transfer to the 5-star hotel ‘Metropole’ – the stylish and extraordinary boutique hotel is located just a few steps from St. Mark's Square on the famous Riva degli Schiavoni, overlooking the Grand Canal. A welcome glass of sparkling wine and a lunchtime snack await us in the hotel bar. The afternoon is free for a first stroll around St Mark's Square. In the evening, an authentic Venetian degustation menu with accompanying wines awaits us at the venerable ‘Bistro de Vénise’.

Day 2: The unknown Venice
In the morning, a guided tour of ‘Unknown Venice’ – we discover Venice off the beaten track and away from the crowds. Among other places, we will visit Campo Santa Maria Formosa, one of the largest squares in the city, the Campiello degli Orbi, where a brotherhood of the blind is said to have once lived, and the district of Saints John and Paul, which is now home to a Venetian hospital. Through the labyrinth of calli and campi (narrow Venetian streets and squares), we arrive at the house of Marco Polo, a building believed to have been the home of the famous explorer and which is now used as a theatre. At the end of our tour, we will stop for lunch at a typical Venetian trattoria. The rest of the afternoon is at leisure.

Evening visit to Teatro la Fenice – The programme features Verdi's OTELLO under the musical direction of Myung-Whun Chung with Francesco Meli, Francesca Dotto, Luca Micheletti and others.

Day 3: The Accadémia
After breakfast, visit the Accadémia with its important collection of Venetian paintings and the Frari Church with two major works by Titian. The afternoon is free.

In the evening, return to the Teatro la Fenice for a performance of Verdi's LA TRAVIATA under the musical direction of Diego Matheuz, with Marina Monzò, Francesco Demuro, Nicola Alaimo and others.

4th day: Peggy Guggenheim Museum
In the morning, visit to the Peggy Guggenheim Museum – the museum of modern art is located in a beautiful 18th-century villa. In the Palazzo Venier dei Leoni, Peggy Guggenheim's former home on the Grand Canal, you can not only marvel at the extensive personal art collection of the former resident, which includes many works by leading twentieth-century artists, but also enjoy a variety of special exhibitions. Lunch together in a typical trattoria.

At 4 p.m. boat transfer to the airport and at 6:55 p.m. return flight with LH via Frankfurt to Berlin, arriving at 10:25 p.m.
