At the end of January, we will complete the Strauss cycle at the Deutsche Oper Berlin with DIE FRAU OHNE SCHATTEN, directed by Tobias Kratzer, who is now considered one of the outstanding opera directors of our time. Here, too, Kratzer brings the present into the opera and, as in ARABELLA and INTERMEZZO, gives opera as an art form a surprising sense of relevance. DIE FRAU OHNE SCHATTEN focuses on the theme of social interaction, one of the major issues of our time. This new production, featuring an outstanding cast, premieres here on 26 January 2025 (5pm).

Experience David Butt Philip as the Emperor, Jane Archibald as the Empress, Jordan Shanahan as the Dyer, Catherine Foster as the Dyer's Wife, Marina Prudenskaya as the Nurse and Sir Donald Runnicles at the podium.
