Stories about transformations have existed since antiquity, when they were prominently discussed by Ovid. At the same time, artistic products are also constantly undergoing transformations as they are transferred from one medium to another: transformations that turn myths into literature, texts into music and sounds into painting. During this evening, the artist Ole Niedermauntel, who specialises in ornamental calligraphy, not only addresses the topic of transformation in terms of content, but also reflects on the change of form synaesthetically by painting live to works such as Richard Strauss' “Metamorphosen” or the “Narcissus” settings by Benjamin Britten, Karol Szymanowski and Thea Musgrave.
