Was kommt? - Deutsche Oper Berlin

Start the new season with us!

What's coming up?

Our opening day on 21 September 2025

‘One day, four acts’ is the motto of this year's opening day: an invitation to anyone who wants to gain an insight into the art of musical theatre. Starting at 2 p.m., we will present four individual acts from major operas in the repertoire, complete with stage sets and costumes. You will experience excerpts from Engelbert Humperdinck's fairy-tale opera HÄNSEL UND GRETEL, Verdi's RIGOLETTO and LA TRAVIATA, and Puccini's TURANDOT, performed by the orchestra of the Deutsche Oper and sung by members of our ensemble and renowned guest artists. Whether it's ‘Nessun dorma’, ‘Brindisi’, ‘La donna è mobile’ or ‘Ein Männlein steht im Walde’ – even those who have never been to the opera before will discover music they have heard before in each of these opera acts.

You can purchase a ticket for each of the four opera acts for ten euros, which will be credited towards the price of a ticket for a regular performance. And to ensure that you don't get bored between acts, we offer a programme in our foyer during the intervals: Excerpts from our children's opera DIE DREI RÄTSEL (The Three Riddles), which will premiere on the main stage in October, as well as performances by our jazz band and members of the orchestra will provide musical entertainment. In addition, our restaurant will offer a selection of food and drinks.

We look forward to seeing you here!
